A beginner may wonder that what " SEO" Stands for and whether they have been a part of it or not? .SEO literally stands for Search Engine Optimization,which is nothing but a set of techniques used to rank your website on top in search engine.If you will start finding out number of search engines ,then at some point of time you may stop but the counting of search engines won't stop.Instead of the huge presence of search engines and this mushrooming use of internet worldwide,Google is supposed to be the king of search engines
In today's context we all are pretty much dependent on search engines for fulfilling our queries.we are assuming them as our teachers and guide.Now Let's discuss what is the link between " SEO " and these search engines.Let's say we have a website named "www.xyz.com".our wish is that,if any person enters the keyword related to our website,then our website name should come on the top.we are all aware that we want to see our website on top for getting popularity or for getting traffic to improve our business.There are two types of search listings in SEO.
- Paid Search Listing.
- Organic Search Listing.
How Paid Search Listings Work?
It is basically advertisements,web site owners will have to pay for displaying their website on top .
They pay the search engines for certain keywords.If a person enters a keyword and a domain www.abc.com appears on top by paid search listing,then website owner will pay the SE for a single click on the website link.We will discuss that how it is implemented,but later on.
How Organic Search Listings Work?
A spider or a crawler which is a component of search engines collects information by automatically crawling the web.The spider follows the links of the web pages ,makes copies of them in the search engine's indexes.Based on this data ,Search Engine then indexes the pages and the website.
There are two factors which influences Organic search listings
- On Page Factor
- Off Page factor
